Zuko came as a very sad,low, very thin, dejected horse. He would stand with his head on the floor with no energy. He had been a reasonably successful racehorse and lived in the LAND OF KINGS.

He would have had every conceivable luxury all though his life and did not understand what had happened to him. The racing yard sold him to a nice couple for a hack but unfortunately I truly believe they did not understand his needs.

Rebecca Hawkers our wonderful dentist, came quickly to sort out his teeth. He has a slight parrot mouth and therefore his back teeth were overgrown into his gums and his mouth was very sore. We used our therapies to help with his condition. Acupressure to balance his body. Seema, our aroma therapist, used her oils for natural healing, on a self selective basis.

The first time we sat on him the poor chap would just walk around the school once and say no more. The first day he went out in the field and trotted off, we all cheered.
As he got his strength back, we thought it would be in his interest to start a regular exerise programme, so I duly advertised him and hoped the right person would come along, when the time was right. A couple of weeks later along came julie and with one look burst into tears. We could nt get her to go home. A week later he was off to his new home and I was completely confident he had found his space in time again.
